Oil on 12" x 12" Wooden Panel
This is painted on a new surface for me. It's a wooden 12" x 12" panel that I got at a local art store. I was curious about what it would be like to oil paint on a different type of surface. It was interesting because the wood absorbed the oil paint. It was much like staining a wood surface, and I noticed that some of the oil paints color would become a bit muted as they were absorbed by the wood. This was a first attempt on such a surface and I'm looking forward to trying some more paintings on this type of surface. It's all a learning curve.
